“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” – Leonardo da Vinci

I wanted to bring a bit of tropical sunshine to Sheffield, and thought the contrast between an industrial venue, and the tropical foliage and stationery would be great wedding inspiration, and something different for UK couples

based wedding planner Sian assisted Stewart with the planning. put together a schedule so that all suppliers were aware of the timings and general logistics of the shoot
What a shoot!
We used bespoke copper pipe candle sticks, flower stands and lanterns. Our inspiration for this was the industrial vibe given in the brief. We knew that the copper tones would really stand out against the lush greenery. We used flowing chiffon drops on the heavy wooden chairs to add a delicate texture into the room which was dominated by fantastic open brick walls and concrete floors. The hard with the soft and rough with the smooth gave the overall look balance. We loved this style and were thrilled to take part amongst such talent.

“With ‘greenery’ being a forthcoming trend in wedding flowers, I wanted to use a selection of tropical foliage to contrast against the white surroundings and copper accents. I kept the designs simple and the soft lush foliage’s brought a little of the outside into the industrial venue.”
For the stationery, I wanted to create a set that reflected the flowers used in the shoot so they would compliment each other on the table. I kept the design fairly simple so it didn’t feel too flowery as there was a strong industrial feel to the shoot. Although I wasn’t there on the day, the result is amazing and everyone involved is so talented!
“My part was to add a scent to the wedding, as the theme had copper, I used copper metal vessels with a very fresh scent of White Mint with White Tea and combined frosted glass vessels too, with a small amount of citrus notes to compliment.”
my part was to create the cake, I opted for a sharp & modern lilac grey & white cake with brushed copper detail & loose silk ribbon with fresh foliage. I couldn’t be there in person unfortunately, would have been lovely to meet you all!
